Strange things are afoot at THE MAN BEHIND THE DOOR… by DARK SIDE

I love the “paranormal”.  Hell, I AM the paranormal and I don’t wait around for Halloween just to get excited about the subject.  So when Coop inherited a box of crazy from an amateur paranormal researcher, I was giddy.  GIDDY, I say.  Now Coop ain’t tellin’ me much about what’s in The Box [cue organ music and mad scientist laughter], but he’s already found some groovy stuff from this rogue investigator named Wes Cotten.  Formerly based out of Memphis, TN,  Wes has gone AWOL and left a bunch of his research for his old friend Coop to wade through and do what he wants to with it, including Wes’s creepy website THE MAN BEHIND THE DOOR…

So far, Coop has uncovered info from the box on a Memphis urban legend known as “The Boy in the Corner”.  I’m tellin’ ya, it’s givin’ me the stone cold willies.  Almost bigger willies than these guys are giving me… 

But seriously, The Man Behind the Door strikes a familiar tone as a weird thing that kinda grows from inside the mind rather than your usual hack N’ slash fare.  Don’t know much about the “Man” yet but the “Boy” is already buggin’ me out so I’m slightly anxious about what Coop is pulling out of that rabbit’s hat next.  Where’s the clown love? 

Apparently NOT on that site.  No neon colors, no ice cream trucks, no sparkling vampires wanting to romance your brains out…  It’s all slow burning dread.  I could get used to this. 

Whatever the case, consider me officially curious.  Go down to THE MAN BEHIND THE DOOR and subscribe for updates, follow on Twitter, yada… yada… yada… 

I’m sensing something primal and disturbing on that site.  You know like when you wake up hung over and you have that buzzing in your head that drives you totally insane but you can’t do anything about it because it’s stuck there and it’s only going to make you feel sicker and sicker until you wish you could lay down on the railroad tracks and wait for the sweet, sweet release of the 10:13 bound for Chicago? 

I’ve had a glimpse at the material.  It’s mysterious so far but I have the lingering feeling that the impending revelations will bother you like a splinter in your palm…  Then once it gets under your skin, it’s really gonna hurt.  CHECK IT OUT HERE.
