COOP COOPER is an independently syndicated film critic with a split personality. His "Southern Side" prints mainstream reviews that appear in various print publications across the mid-south. His "Dark Side" from Los Angeles befouls the site with reviews of horror and grindhouse flicks.
Hmmm... I didn't look at it that way, Andrea. Perhaps you're right. I think I do remember Reese saying something about working in the concentration camps in the first one. And I do believe he also said the T-800's were a new model as he went back in the past. I did just hear a rumor that Terminator 5 is really going to knock the continuity out of whack by sending giant mechs back to 2012 or something like that. Sounds like Transformers. Not excited about that at all.

I think instead the only way to take it is as a reboot, because it really doesn't fit with the other movies continuity (T-800 develops too early, Kyle never works in a concentration camp etc...).
Maybe next sequels can be Terminator 1-2 remakes.
Not a great movie anyway, just action, action, action...ufff....

Great summary, Coop! Saw this at a matinee this afternoon (got outta work early!). Between me & my co-worker, you've pretty much hit every observation...yes, it takes two of us to equal the Coop! My co-worker cringed a little on most of the somewhat cheesy parts (the dialogue between the girl & Marcus as they cozy up near the fire, some of the other one liners here & there..."I'll be back", the little girl holding Marcus' "hand" at the end, etc.). Dude, I totally mentioned to him how much I thought Anton favored the original Reese too! We both would agree that something felt a little unbelievable in regards to the supposed post-apocalyptic atmosphere...I also noticed how everyone seemed to walk about in some scenes without any regard to the fact that killer machines had overrun the planet! Loved the giant TRANSFORMER-like Terminators...you know me! And I thought the end started getting a little too predictable with the heart-transplant and all. But after saying all that, it was still a pretty fun flick...not as well executed as Star Trek ala J.J. (hey, he's hard to compete with!), but nevertheless action-packed fun! Can't wait to see where they take the next one...enjoyed the review, bro!
