Didn't know anything about this! After the dreadfully disappointing lack-of-production that was 'Inland Empire', being the last of a long list of great directors gone awry, I've retreated to all-things-TRANSFORMERS, J.J. Abrams' multiple creations, a plethora of Asian ghost tales, History Channel, re-watching Carnivàle and of course all of Lynch's prior endeavors of brilliance, so...thanks for the info, Coop! I'll keep an eye out.

Agreed! I would like to hear him talk about the "weirding modules" he apparently invented for the film. I know he butchered the source material but I liked that addition at least. Honestly, I didn't care much for the Sci-fi Channel's original "Dune Miniseries" but I REALLY liked their "Dune Messiah/Children of Dune" miniseries. Now I'm hearing that Peter Berg is going to take a stab at a Dune adaptation. That one has me worried.

"Elephant Man" is my favorite of the Lynch mob with "Lost Highway" a close second. Yet "Dune" always leaves me wth the impression that Lynch didn't fully understand the source material -- like Speilberg with "A.I." , but felt compelled to put a personal stamp on the project regardless of it's effect on the outcome. But hey, it's David Lynch for Pete's sake. If the guy did a remake of "Strange Brew", I'd line up for it on opening day. "I plan on writing an epic poem about this gorgeous pie, Hoser".
