LEAKED! 2009 Oscar results posted online??? Looks fake to me… by COOP
I saw this two days ago, yet did nothing. Now the major news outlets are starting to report it, so I guess I’d better say something. This so-called “leaked” document is a fake. It contradicts the protocol by which the Academy follows to the letter, so there’s no reason to believe it is in any way genuine.
Plus, some of the winners reported in the document conflict strongly against my confident professional instincts. Others seem downright ludicrous.
It was a nice attempt to generate controversy, but no dice. If you must see this phony document, click here.
Otherwise, ignore it and tune in to ABC at 7 Central/5 Pacific and watch the real deal. I’m hoping this faux memo will be proven false after the very first category (which is usually Best Supporting Actress).
I also suspect my own custom ballot predictions to be more accurate than this feeble attempt at a hoax.
