ANGUISH!!! Weirdo 80’s horror flick to get a Ghost House remake? by DARK SIDE

Another one out of left field… In 1987, Michael Lerner and genre goddess Zelda Rubinstein starred in “Anguish,” a unique (at the time) horror film that blurred the line between the horror on the screen and the fright of the audience.

Now Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures intends to remake the classic to appeal to a more modern audience.

I’ve got a warning to Raimi and Ghost House: THIS MOVIE WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT RUBINSTEIN. You must get her back in order capitalize on the talented horror icon who made this film watchable. I’ve met her multiple times and sat near her at the 20th anniversary showing of “Poltergeist” at the Vista Theater and at a screening of “Southland Tales” at the Hollywood Archlight. Heck I’ve even attended both a St. Patrick’s Day Party and a Midsummer Night’s Dream party with her (no kidding!). She’s sharp as a tack and a joy to be around. I can’t imagine “Anguish” being any good without her.

HIRE HER IMMEDIATELY!!!

The Dark Side commands it!

Trailer for the original “Anguish” below (I can only find this bizzaro foreign trailer for it)…
