WATCHMEN!!! More pre-release propaganda “Public Service Messages” available! by COOP

One good thing about the much-delayed release of the “Watchmen” comic book film (March 6th!) is the quality of viral entertainment the filmmakers have had time to prepare and unleash on the unsuspecting public.

Days ago, the creators released a faux news-release on the origin of Dr. Manhattan and how grateful we all are (and would be if he were real) that he exists. Remember kids… He’s American!!!

Now we have a PSA about the “Keene Act” which was ripped off by Marvel for their “Civil War” story arc and later by the TV show “Heroes” (which I still love for some reason) for their current “Fugitives” story arc.

Yep, in the 1985 alternate universe of the Watchmen, superheroes have been deemed illegal menaces to society. Why? Because they they kill and blow up stuff and are no longer sanctioned by governing bodies. God bless ‘em.

Yet, we have charlatans like Senator Keene using their political clout to rid the world of superheroes. Why not? We have Dr. Manhattan on our side… or do we?

Dang, I hope they make more of these. I haven’t been this excited since the Titans won the Superbowl. Ahem… I mean I would be if that had actually happened. I’m hoping in the Watchmen’s universe that they somehow did. Who am I kidding… They’d probably still be the Houston Oilers…

Vote “NO!” against the Keene Act. The Titans command it!
