Bless those guys over at Fearnet. Somehow they convinced the powers that be to allow them to show “The Midnight Meat Train” in its entirety online! The catch is it’s only available today (Oct. 30) so make sure you watch it now before time runs out.

I’ve been waiting to see this film for about 15 years, ever since I read the short story which I consider to be Barker’s absolute best. I even wrote up a treatment for a film version of it in a film production class taught by the late, great Martin Jurow back in 1998. It’s directed by Ryuhei Katamura, that crazy kinetic director of the Japanese horror/action film “Versus.” The studios dropped the ball and only released this in dollar theaters for one weekend, never giving it a chance. Now is your chance to see it for free before it comes out on DVD!

Here’s the setup for the story… It’s about a New York photographer who runs afoul of a serial killer on the New York subway. This killer hangs his victims upside down and butchers them like cattle. The freaky part is that the killer is doing it for other reasons than being crazy. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Vinnie Jones and… Brooke Shields??? Worth a look! I’ve embedded the entire film below. Check it out quickly before it’s gone!…

Morgan Freeman asks Coop a question at THE BEST DAY premiere! Video below…

My short film THE BEST DAY premiered in October 2011 at the Delta Cinema in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Little did I know I had a special guest in the audience who was about to ask me a question during the Q&A. Yep, I got a little flustered when I saw who it was.
