Russia remakes COMMANDO! by COOP

I can’t tell if this is supposed to be a spoof or what. Some scenes look shot-for-shot identical while others appear completely off the wall. The original “Commando” is a childhood staple of mine. It boosted Arnold Schwarzenegger’s star power and set a new standard for 80’s action carnage. I’d like to know the “why?” on this one. I’d also like to know if director/star, Mihail Porechenkov, had permission to do this. If Universal can rip-off a French film (”The Strangers”), I guess the Russians don’t see anything wrong with this. Looks hilarious though. Here’s the trailer…
