INSIDE (France 2007) ***** DVD capsule by COOP
I hereby declare “Inside” the most brutal horror film I’ve ever seen. I don’t say that lightly. I’ve seen more horror films than most critics, but this one takes the cake. Once it begins, it doesn’t let up until the shocking, final five minutes that had me squirming and covering my eyes. I won’t say much about this one, but I will show you the trailer which gives you a good indication as to what the film is about (even though the trailer’s in French). I give this film my highest rating and also my most serious warning: The squeamish CANNOT handle this film. I recommend this most to horror fans who think they’ve seen everything. What’s most surprising is the quality in how this film is written, acted and shot. It’s flawless and possibly the most entertainingly repuslive thing I’ve ever seen. Be warned!…
